NWFAF (The Nicholas Woods Friedreichs Ataxia Foundation) was formed to help support the research and aid of those with a very rare disease called Friedreichs Ataxia. Our goal is to improve the quality and length of life for those diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia, to help provide treatments that eliminate its symptoms, and to assist the research that will finally find a cure.

In Memoriam of
Tricia Borba Vasquez

On December 17th, 2007, we lost a dear friend, an important member of our community, and a valued ally of The Nicholas Woods Friedreichs Ataxia Foundation to breast cancer.  

Tricia Borba Vasquez was an amazing young woman that believed in helping others and supported our foundation tirelessly. She touched the lives of many people in numerous ways and she will be truly missed.  The world is a better place because Tricia was in it. 

Tricia's family have kindly requested that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to The Nicholas Woods Friedreichs Ataxia Foundation.
